Do you own a gold item that you no longer wish to keep?
We pay top dollar for your broken and unwanted gold!

Why sell my gold now?
Gold prices are near record highs. Gateway Jewelry & Pawn pays out at great rates, so there has never been a better time to sell!

How will my gold be evaluated?
Items will be tested for gold karat and gram weight. If you are not sure what type of gold you have or if it is real, bring it in and we can test for authenticity. However, only 10-24 karat gold will be accepted. We do not accept costume jewelry or gold plated items.

How much will I get paid?
Your cash payment is based on the gold karat and gram weight of each piece. Gateway Jewelry & Pawn uses the Daily London Fixed Gold value per Troy ounce. This is the accepted exchange rate used when buying and selling gold throughout the world.

What if I don’t have much gold to sell?
Bring as much or as little gold you have, even one piece. You may be surprised how much cash you can get for it.

What if jewelry has precious stones?
Not a problem. We can remove precious stones and give them right back to you. We also buy diamonds!

Looking to sell more than gold? We also buy platinum and silver in any condition! Items we frequently purchase include:

  • Necklaces
  • Bracelets
  • Rings & Class Rings
  • Earrings (pairs & singles)
  • Charms & Pendants
  • Anklets
  • Men’s Jewelry
  • Watches
  • Coins & Bullion

What is my gold worth?

Just like the stock market, the value of gold changes daily. London Fixed Gold is the industry standard for pricing the value of gold in the United States and worldwide. It is the undisputed and accepted value that is used daily by banks, refineries, mines, jewelry stores, etc.

Gold is measured by the Troy Ounce. What a Troy Ounce is worth depends on the karat and gram weight of the gold item. The following is a breakdown of how a Troy Ounce is converted:

  • One Troy Ounce = 31.103 Grams
  • 1 DWT = 1.5551 Grams (also known as penny weight)
  • 24 Karat is Pure Gold or 999.9 Purity.
  • 22 Karat Gold Is 0.916 Pure Or 22/24
  • 18 Karat Gold Is 0.750 Pure Or 18/24
  • 14 Karat Gold Is 0.585 Pure Or 14/24
  • 10 Karat Gold Is 0.417 Pure Or 10/24

Therefore, final cash payment for each gold item is based on the following factors:

  1. The Daily London Fixed Gold Value (per Troy Ounce) at the end of each business day
  2. The gram weight of the gold item
  3. The purity of the gold item (i.e. karat)
